Not actually. But if there were a story-so-far crawl on screen here, it would be to the effect that the Inform project is preparing for a new release in Autumn 2019. This will, for the first time, take the language open-source, and comes out of a four-year renovation project which is nearly complete. That renovation extends to the website, too, and it’s now time to take down the existing site to begin building a new one.

Inform’s first website, dating from 1992-93, was one of the first ten thousand sites on the World Wide Web. This is our fourth. Though it is, for the moment, pared to the bone, it does still offer a full range of downloads of current and past versions of the language for many platforms.
