|Summary||0002090: Listing group size with duplicates|
|Description||When I create a number of things as duplicates (eg 6 books and 3 DVDs), and group things together before listing contents, the listing group size is calculated as the number of kinds (2 items) rather than the actual number of things (9 items) as expected.|
|Minimal Source Text To Reproduce|
The Library is a room.
A book is a kind of thing. A DVD is a kind of thing.
In the Library are 6 books and 3 DVDs.
Before listing contents:
group things together.
Rule for grouping together things:
say "[listing group size in words] items".
|Additional Information||Possibly this behaviour is intentional or even required for back-end purposes. If so, the documentation should be clarified and a workaround provided for those who need the number of actual in-world objects. The forum thread at https://intfiction.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27511 [^] suggests a solution for things, and something similar could be done for people (to ensure the player isn't counted among them), but a generalised solution would be helpful.|
If the behaviour isn't intentional/required it would be great to fix it so it behaves more intuitively.
