Summary0001636: OOPS functionality needs closer attention
DescriptionThere might be some new trouble with the OOPS verb. Playing around with Uninvited, I found this:

You see no nii here.

You see no nii here.

However, misspelling the first noun and then doing OOPS works correctly. I'm not sure yet if this comes from something weird I did in Uninvited or something in the Library.

Graham has declined to address these on the basis that oops is "vestigial," but it would be great if something could be done. The parser just needs to keep better track of the specific word number where the non-dictionary word was encountered; presumably this would best be handled right at the point of failure.

This problem was partially fixed in [^] After closing that, I opened a new issue ( [^]) to address what remained. Now I can't remember what actually remained because it was vlaviano who did most of the analysis. I've asked him to take another look at it on Gitlab.
