  • Section: Setting The Character's Name

    As well as changing the library messages to say "you", "they", etc. it is also possible to set this text to the name of the character:

        When play begins:
            change the library message person to third person;
            set the library message third person text to "George".

    If there are different forms for upper and lower case, say the following instead:

        When play begins:
            change the library message person to third person;
            set the library message third person text to "The mouse" / "the mouse".

    You may also want to add a line like the following, just in case the player refers to the PC by name:

        Understand "George" as yourself.

    For a female or neuter character, you should also say something like:

        change the library message gender to gender feminine

    If it is ever necessary to change the library messages back to normal ("he", "him", etc), say:

        restore the library message third person text
