  • Section - Parser-styled action messages

[Here are the remaining messages not replaced already that should be styled as from the parser. Whether a message comes from the parser or the narrator is something of an existential or aesthetic question in some cases: is "But you aren't on the sofa at the moment" a parser objection or a narrator observation? My general rule of thumb here is that the parser deals with commands rejected for logical reasons (as in the prior example), and the narrator with commands rejected for story/character reasons (as well as the successful commands). So "Dropped" or "You hear nothing unexpected" are narrator messages, but "You aren't holding the apple" is a parser message. ]
